Default supercharger question

i am a newbie to the forum and want a 2003 Z06 bad. my question is what other mods are necessary if i add a supercharger? will it lower the life expectancy of the engine? my plan is to just use it on the weekends on the street. i used to have a jaguar xjr that is a supercharged 4 liter and i must say it was impressive but just not enough to scare me when driving it.

If you've never driven a Z06 before, a stock one will have enough to scare you.

Call ECS or A&A and they will get you setup with one of their kits that are on sale now. You will have enough power to scare you for a while. I would go over to the F/I section as they have a pretty big thread going on about this topic.

mods needed depends on which SC you go with....I needed a hood for my Maggie...as for life expectancy...SC installed at 60K...currently 94K...no issues

If you are used to the acceleration of a Jaguar, then all you will need are these.

If you buy an A&A kit, it will come with everything you need. While you have the car apart, you can send the PCM to Andy for a base tune, so you can drive it to the tuner. With and LS6 and a 10 psi kit, you could expect to easily be in the 550's horsepower wise, so an upgraded differential is in order. The stock 6 speed will do you fine, but you'll have to upgrade the clutch. You'll also find yourself wanting drag radials, because street tires fry.

Finally, once you get used to the power(like me) you'll want more.......

I have a 2003 Z06 with a supercharger package setup by ECS (guys who replied above). The car puts out 733RWHP and is guaranteed to scare me to death every time I drive it I've had it a number of years without any problems at all. If you get the SC installed by professionals who know what they are doing (like ECS), you will have no problems.
