Default Recharging the refrigerant

I got a can of r134 that comes with its oun guage. The meter read 100psi. I might have connected it to the wrong port. Any picture showing the correct port.

It should only go on the correct port and about 45psi is on the money with the car running and ac wide open.

You have another problem.

Partly correct. If the engine is turned off and the refrigerant is allowed to equalize, it will be equal pressures on both ports. Only after you run the compressor will there be a pressure differential.

Right on, Blownblue; R134 will stabilize in the system (or in the can) to about 100 psi, depending on the temperature around the system.
So, either the compressor was not pumping, or there is serious cloggage in the system.
Low and high side pressure with a running system at 1000 rpm will vary according to ambient temp and humidity. At 80 degrees and 40% humidity, pressures should be approx 26/200 PSI. Low side pressure will vary a pound or two as temps change, but Hi side can go up to 250 at 100 degrees ambient, and drop to 120 at 70 degrees ambient. Th8is is per my shop manual.
Hope this helps.

If you dont know which port is which, you should probably just take it to someone who is at least semiprofessional with AC work.

Its a little more complicated than just adding refrig to a car.

The factors that all influence each other are:
Cabin temp, ambient temp, humidity, airflow across condenser, airflow across evap, evap discharge temp, volume of refrig and oil in system, engine rpms, high side reading, low side reading.

One of any will affect all the others, so its good to at least read up first before you somehow manage to force the can on the wrong port and blow it up in your hand.

The correct port ( low Pressure side ) is the one closest to the fire wall ( windshield ) right next to the battery case. The wrong one ( High pressure side )is the forward port closest to the radiator.
