My passenger side HID light will not light up anymore :mad . At first I thought it was a loose connection but I checked them all and they are all tight. Sometimes if I turn my lights off and on several times they will light up. I don't close the headlight doors when doing this so it couldn't be loose connections. Also if they light up, they will stay lit (even when driving) untill I turn them off. I'm thinking something is wrong with the ballast  . Any suggestions? How long is the warrenty on them from LAPD?
If you bought your HID lights from Shawn at http://www.lapd.com You have no worries. Shawn is first class, plus backs up his products:cool:
Never had a problem with my HID lights
Exact same thing happened to me...got progressively worse with both, but that's how it started with me:rolleyes: ..looks as though my ballasts were getting wet or..who knows--been driving without them for three months-- getting ready to send them back to LAPD for replacement (I know, three mos.--I'm a procrastinator)
--I just hope this time they last more than 3 or 4 months...
Don't worry about them. Philips ballasts are the best made in the world. I really doubt that they will catch fire. Maybe one of the inferior made ballasts has caught fire, but German made Philips ballasts are what you will find on all late model high end luxury sedans. They are the best made and come with a 5 year warranty on the bulbs and the ballasts.
Contact the person I told you and you will be taken care of. He will either supply you with a wire harness and/or a new ballast if it is determined to be defective.
