Clutch master/slave failure???

I have an 02 Z06 that I just can't hardly even get in in gear. The resevoir is very dirt, and gunk in it. When you engage the clutch then release you can hear a banging noise. When I sit there and pump clutch like crazy, you can get in gears. Does this sound like clutch master and or slave cylinder failure?

Is your system leaking? Are you having to add fluid? Have you tried bleeding it in case there's air in the system?

Well I just bought it from out of state. It arrived on truck and would not go in gear. That was my plan to have system bled initially, then probably put master in.
