Default need advice- HVAC issue

I've done about 2hrs of searching and reading, however nothing I've read relates to my specific issue:

Here are the problems:

I have a 1998 Coupe with electronic dual climate

Mode/level adjustment does NOT work:
i.e: I can't change face vent to foot vent to defog, etc.

Passenger hot/cold adjustment does NOT work- it's always hot in passenger side.

I can't tell if recirculate works; hard to tell.

Here's what does work:

Driver's hot/cold does work normal.

HVAC display lights up ok- all buttons work/light up.

There is only ONE code that comes up:

B0446 H C --Right Actuator Out of Range

I'll take any advice you'll give me; if it sounds reasonable, I'll take it- even if you don't know what you're talking about

From what I've been able to gather, I need to check to see if there's any vacuum (however I don't know what the easiest way to check this is) and to check whether the actuators work.

I've reset the code and after a few mins driving, the B0446 comes back.

There are, apparently, cheap and easy actuators in the HVAC, as well as hard (passenger) and expensive ones.

I'm all ears and thanks in advance!

I assume you've already disconnecting the battery, and reconnecting.

There are no actuators in the HVAC unit...

As Lucky advised try resetting the Actuators per your research to see if they will cycle thru their full range and hopefully your Passenger actuator will get "unstuck". If not you'll have to replace it!

If your modes are not working, check the vaccum port on the back of the intake and the vaccum lines under the Battery for leaks/breaks. If the hoses all seem sound your control valve (P/N 52487593 for $11, I think) might be shot.

Have you had a chance to check out your vaccum lines yet?
