Default C-Clamp/Tools for brake job?

Two quick questions. I'm getting the stuff together to install my Eradispeed rotors (thanks Nate at Xtreme) and need to know what size c-clamp I'll need to compress the pads back into the calipers. Also, I have metric sockets up to 19mm. Will I need anything larger? Thanks guys.

IIRC, the caliper bracket mounting bolts are coated fasteners and are non-reusuable, so you may want to get new ones. Not sure if this is necessary or not,but just an FYI

A big set of channel locks works better than trying to find the proper C-clamp to use.You can probably find these at sears at a reasonable price...The caliper bracket bolts are 21mm...

Thanks C-5 TECH! That's exactly the info I was looking for.

16 MM wrench is good to hold the guide pins so you don't have to maul it with pliers. Just clean the threads and use locitite. Small wire brush is good like sa tooth brush. Get the toruqe spec's too. I use a 5" C clamp from Sears or big channel locks. Small block of wood to one piston from coming out as you squeeze the other. If your calipers are painted don't maul them. Small bungees to keep the caliper from hanging by themself. Maybe new fluid PFC is cheap and has worked good at the track.

You actually will need a large Socket "larger then 21mm"to get the caliper off. I just did it today so I am sure.

It is always best to open the bleeder before squeezing the calipers. You will be amazed at the amount of crud behind the pistons. When you push the caliper pistons into the body, a lot of crud may come out the bleeder.
