The drivers side power seat tracks are sloppy and rock back and forth a small irritating amount. Does anyone have a good solution besides replacing the assembly ?
I'm in the same boat. The Seat rocks back during hard acceleration. I'm considering removing the seat and taking a look to see whats up. I saw in previous post a picture of a driver's seat frame. There are some plastic turn buckles that look like they control the seat adjustments. One of these could possibly be worn or broken. If so I'll just machine new ones from aluminum. I'll let you know what I find.

If you do machine those plastic turn buckles, I'd buy a few off you.
Hello MagRedConv
I did find this thread that might be the problem for the popping and rocking of the seat. http://www.lieblweb.com/TechLinks/Co.../C5SeatFix.htm
I'll check here first, looks easy to do. This fix would be easier than writing a program and spooling up the CNC Mill.

If the seat is just rocking, then it's just a sloppy track, but if you seat no longer tips up at the front or at the rear of the seat, it's those plastic turnbukles.
If the seat is just rocking, then it's just a sloppy track and the listed DIY is valid, but if you seat no longer tips up at the front or at the rear of the seat, it's those plastic turnbuckles.
Thats my weeked project. Get the seat out, flip it over and check it out. I hope it's just sloppy tracks. I might remove one of the plastic turn buckles to get the dimensions just in case I need to manufacture some in the future. I read that they are not easy to find.
