Nah, these cars really don't do well with any sort of cam work... really the only way to add power is a hood seal and a catback...

The threads about cam swaps are more numerous than the miles on some of these guys cars.. look around a bit, know what you've got and know what you want.

Ok, bro....if you want help, don't make people extract information from you like dental surgery.

Fill out your sig, so others can see immediately what type of C5 you have, and see what mods you have done.

Be clear on your question, what you want to do, and what you wish to accomplish, and how you drive your car.

To answer your question, yes, considering you have headers, a cam will wake the car up. Has the car been tuned? If not, you are not at max HP/TQ yet with the existing mods.

Dont waste your money.. the valve trains on these cars are weak. Instead, start taking your car to tracks and get some instruction to help you learn how to extract all the performance of the car it does have, because it has a sheet load. you will having to upgrade your brakes first and suspension when you really learn to drive these cars fast and smooth. you have too much performance already. what so you get 2 or 3 tenths in the 1/4 and 3 mph? I had two cams put in my car and both times the motor blew. it took about two years each time.
and a reputable installer put it in both times.(and all the safety precautions where done, springs retainers rods, etc... ) so these cams cost me close to 20000 dollars because of engine replacing.
So save your money do some HPDE's or skip barber classes and you will totally fall in love with your cars new found performance. You wont need a cam, youll be faster than the guys with cams. or if you must get more performance just swap the engine to a ls7
