Default 245 on a 9.5 wheel?

I ordered a 245 width tire for a 9.5 wheel. I looked at the tire application chart and it says the recommended rim width is 8-9.5 but am worried it will not fit right? Your take? I thought the new wheels were 9" not 9.5", will I be alright? Thanks

The front wheels are 8.5 wide and the rears are 9.5 wide.
I have a set of 245's on my vette and they fit and look good, you won't have any problem with that size.
And on the rear I've got 275/40x18 Kumho mx's

Really, I was not aware of that. Damn so they put a 245 on a 8.5" wheel on the C5 and the same width on a 9.5 wheel for the C6........kinda weird?

So an extra inch in rim width will cause that much stretch? They look great on a 8.5" wheel. I guess I just didnt think there would be that much different. I though these new wheels were 9" instead of 9.5. Might cost me some money.

Do you think I should bite the bullett and order 265 or try to go with the 245? I hate to lose all that money in shipping if I dont HAVE to.

Damnit I had to just order the 265/30 tires. $h!t I hate when I waste money. That is double shipping and I am still stuck with a set of tires I cant use. Oh well my mistake.

So what would you advise? Stick with the 245 or lose some money and order the 265? I need to make that decision tonight or early tomorrow so they will get here. Thanks
