Never had any issues running 87 octane no knocking. whats funny is i have ran several others running premium and left then behind. The manual says you can run 87 octane. I use the left over money for real performance mods.

You get no knocking because the PCM is retarding the timing! You'll never hear it. Plug a scan tool into it and go for a drive. Watch the knock retard parameter and you'll see tons of retard and therefore major loss of power.
My manual says I can use 87 Octane ONLY if I can't find 91+ octane. Temporary use is implied.
If you continue to run E85 go ahead and buy some bigger injectors and a fuel pump, then get a tune, your performance will increase and your Vette will run better. Thats what Ive been told. I might switch one day, its on my mods list.

While the PCM ignores the 02 sensors at WOT, it doesn't ignore them _just before_ WOT (really, Power Enrichment). If the LTFTs are positive entering PE, the PCM will add fuel to the PE calculation. While I strongly agree that you should at least have the car scanned, I don't think you're flirting with disaster running 1 tank through it. Stay off the rev limiter.

E-85 ethanol is used in engines modified to accept higher concentrations of ethanol. Such flexible-fuel vehicles (FFV) are designed to run on any mixture of gasoline or ethanol with up to 85% ethanol by volume. There are a few major differences between FFVs and non-FFVs. One is the elimination of bare magnesium, aluminum, and rubber parts in the fuel system. Another is that fuel pumps must be capable of operating with electrically conductive ethanol instead of non-conducting dielectric gasoline fuel. Fuel injection control systems have a wider range of pulse widths to inject approximately 40% more fuel. Stainless steel fuel lines, sometimes lined with plastic, and stainless steel fuel tanks in place of terne fuel tanks are used. In some cases, FFVs use acid-neutralizing motor oil. For vehicles with fuel-tank mounted fuel pumps, additional differences to prevent arcing, as well as flame arrestors positioned in the tank's fill pipe, are also sometimes used.
Pay particular attention to the bold but the rest is good info for you. Do not run E85 especially at WOT unless tuned and modded for it. Do not run anything less than premium at WOT unless... well don't, there is no unless.
I would also pay attention to the dangers of a non E85 compatible fuel system. Spending more money for fuel that can catch my car on fire isn't my idea of smart.
Thanks your comment is very well taken. i dont want my car to catch fire either...by the way i went though the tank yesterday. there was a code forgot the exact number but it was Lean Bank 2 ........
I know i know your right i was wrong.

I wondered from the beginning of this post why anyone with a corvette would put 87 octane or E85 in their car in the first place! To save a couple of bucks at the pump?A corvette isnt a corolla, take care of it!
