98 hard to put in reverse 6 speed

thinking of buying a 98 vert and what i am hoping for is to buy it but it is hard to put in reverse.Any help would be very nice.

There are three possibilities at least that I can think of. Shifter alignment which is fast and easy to do and the most probable. Then there are the synchros or shift forks inside which means a tear-down. Lastly, it could be the tranny fluid is done or gone. Others in here are better than I when it comes to transmissions. If its owned by a dealer, have them send to to a good Corvette place for repair first.

Well if you buy it I have a trans out of my 02 Z06 thats for sale...you will then have a very noticable improvement in your ride!
