Long tube headers on a 2001
I think the time has come for headers. I'd like to put TPIS long tubes headers on my 2001. I'd like to get rid of the pre-cats. Is TPIS the best way to go? What are the installation headaches? I know I'll have to find someone to cut the pre-cats out in order to install the long tubes. Am I understanding this correctly? Thanks.

When my car was stock but for Corsas and a Donaldson, it showed an increase of 19 rwhp and 19 rwt with DRM's headers. Heck, they are only 20 miles or so from your home and they'll do the install.

Re: Long tube headers on a 2001 (Rippied Z06)
Hi Ron (Rippied Z06).
I stopped by Rippie's a month ago or so. He will sell long tube headers to me but he won't do the install because of the pre-cats on the 2001. I found a guy that will put the long tubes on BUT if shorty headers will work as good I would go that route and have Rippie put them on. Are the DRM long tubes the same as the TPIS long tubes? Have you been happy with yours? Thanks!
