I am not positive if the LS1/6 blocks have these pre-threaded unused holes that can be used as well. I've also heard some mention of tapping required, but maybe that was because they were using a different hole on the side of the block. Since I did not perform the work myself, I can't speak to the LS1/6 blocks. I would THINK they (holes) would be there however.
There are readily available wiring harness plug-n-play adapter harnesses available that give enough length for each side to be able to plug into your existing connector. As far as I know this would be something that Casper's Electronics offers.

So how does relocating the knock sensors help valvetrain noise?

I use the Lucas Synthetic Stabilizer too, but also with half a bottle of Z-Max and only with 15-50 Mobil One....The thinner oils are good for a tad better mileage, but do not have the shear and compression numbers of the thicker oils. I have found this mix gives a very slight reduction in engine sounds, but mostly, it gives LONGER engine life....I have had several other engines with 300K ore more with this exact oil mix, and have turned several friends on to it, a;; with supreme results...One guy with a Toyota 4 banger was consuming a quart every 400 miles, and the engine made all sorts of tapping and ticking sounds, and it smoked! He couldn't afford an overhaul and I suggested the mix, it stopped the oil consumption, down to 1/2 Qt at 3000miles, it stopped the smoking, and it quieted the engine down...That was 2 and half years ago, and now 120 K miles later, the engine is still running....Lemme se....ready for overhaul to over 100K additional miles service and still going strong with ONLY a lubrication oil change. Hmmmmm, food for thought if nothing else.

Been using 20-50 or 15-50 in my cars since 1969, never wore out a motor..some with over 300 K on them when sold....I did blow up a few Lotus engines from over revs but that is a different problem...

Good luck with your valve train noise..It might just the the natural sound of the new parts, even with proper length pushrods...

It doesn't. It reduces or eliminates any valve train noise from causing erroneous KR.
