My '02 vert, A4, 2.73 ratio, black wing and cat back, runs pretty steadily in the low 13's...13.2 ish in real hot weather..... my personal best on a good day is 13.008, my son drives better than me and can break into the 12's with it in good weather...12.97 being his best... [IMG]

I read thru pages 2 and 3 pretty quickly, so if this has already been stated I apologize ~ Have you checked for detonation ?
.....other things that I would possibly look at with 50K + for starters is plugs and wires.
Personally, I would go get the car dynoed, see if anything shows up and go from there.

He has stated his 60' was in the mid 2 sec range. This is his problem If he ran a 2.0 flat 60', his 1/4 mile ET would be mid 13s, fairly normal for stock 2.73 A4. If you floor a C5 off the line, you will spin and lose ET with a bad 60'. Key is to learn to ease the throttle to the floor over the course of a second or so. This will take some experimentation. A varam and some tuning would probably get the ET to low 13s to 13 flat even in hot weather.

My 98 A4 3.15 ratio vert fresh tune up wires plugs filters fluid stone stock with run flats 89000 miles (except 02 Z06 air cleaner lid ) best time warm day 13.46 103.95 Aug.07. Installed Z06 TI cat back ,2001 ls6 intake manifold by passed coolant to throttle body, upgraded wheels & tires to Z06 sizes (couple LBS more per wheel and tire ) and had cooler air but poor track prep with 92000 miles and ran 13.20s at 106 mph sept.08. Will try to hit the 12.90s with a vararam with coupler and throttle body clean up this spring.Have a 3.42 diff from stick car and a core trans and 2002 ls6 motor to build how ever up in the air on converter stall speed 2600 or 3200 vig and header choices. IM ADDICTED god help my check book!
