today i went out to check on my 03 i stored nov 1. i have a battery minder on it BUT when i turned the key, the solinoid just clicked. i thought that maybe the connections had not been good so i checked then and seemingly they were ok. turned key again and same clicking. well, must be bad battery so i put my charger on and turned the key..whoa.. all the dash light went of and then came on ..like a pinball machine. blinking and then would not go off when the key was off.
need i say, i was stupified... never saw this before. also i noticed a niose like a motor running on the passerger side . GOT ANY IDEAS..OTHER THAN I NEED A BETTERY...sure be glad to hear what experience you have had with your bad battery, especailly if you have had anything like this.
Sounds like something was left on... passenger side sound coming from where? Inside or engine compartment? Seat running? If I was you, I would disconnect the battery totally and charge it by itself then, then connect it to the car and find out what's running
Are you sure your battery tender is putting out?? Might try hooking it up and check it with a volt meter. Charge the battery and see if everything works!
A bad or almost dead battery will reek havoc on the onboard computers, everything from the BCM (Body Control Module, to the EBCM (Engine Module) to your DIC basically all electronics. Try jump starting (hot-shotting) the battery, then drive it or run it for at least 30 minutes and see if the battery will hold the charge. If it does, buy yourself a new battery minder, like a Deltran Battery Tender Plus. Hope this helps.
