Default Belt noise

Just bought my 2000 Vette and it is making a chirping/squealling noise from one of the pulleys. I noticed my crankshaft pully/balancer is a little wobbly. Could this be my belt/pully noise? Information appreciated.
Thanks, Dale

uh oh. You better make sure that bolt is tight, I just spun my crank pulley last week. Could have really bitched things up in there, i got lucky. That bolt should be tight as HELL. Like I mean the tightest bolt in the car.

In my case, it is usually the A/C belt. Stopped it by spraying Prestone belt dressing from Walmart. Try the simple things first before replacing mechanical parts.

You need to more than likely replace the a/c tensioner pulley. The new one uses a dust cover that prevents this issue.

Also if your balancer pulley grooves are not running straight then you will be needing to replace that too. Possible time to go with an overdrive or underdrive pulley
