Mako,The cam is around 230 duration/590 lift,I don't have the exact numbers you can call Cartek, the car idles a little more aggressive than my old cam in my 346,not real lopey,I have Cartek's clutch,no cats.

Re: CARTEK 408 DYNO #'S 480 RWHP/466 RWTQ SAE CORRECTED (intel55)
Intel55,I don't know if the heads or block were o-ringed,Cartek built the motor for nitrous use so I'm sure they used a head gasket that will stand up to it.I'll find out and let you know.Mark,If you keep twisting my arm I may just show up,it depends on if the Steeler game is a blowout, what time do the gates close at Atco on Sunday?

Stealth,
I haven’t spoken about 1 7/8 headers at all yet.
I don’t think I can put 3” exhaust because I have XR1 muffler (in the middle) and it’s ~2.5” inlet/outlet. I love the sound though :D

Mike
Hows it going? Wow the car sounds crazy! Traction can be tough to come by with numbers like those! Take care.

Nice numbers. With the new exhuast and a gain of 15 hp you'll be near 500 with a 408 with 2.02 and 1.58 valves if I remember correctly. Would even bigger valves help gain more? Wasn't someone getting a 427 from Cartek? What will the numbers be on that motor? They should even be bigger, no? What tires will you run now? Good luck! Does it feel any different inthe handling department with the iron block? I see you are putting the 1 7/8" headers on soon. Whats on there now for headers?

Re: CARTEK 408 DYNO #'S 480 RWHP/466 RWTQ SAE CORRECTED (John Shiels)
John,The car has TPIS headers on it now.I will eventually end up mimi-tubbing this car, traction on the street is a joke.I feel no difference in handling.I don't know if Cartek wants me to reveal the valve size at this time. All I will say is they're are a few H/C 346's with bigger valves than me,it's a waste on a 3.90 bore.

I almost forgot, the 422 in Black Thunder's automatic will be brought to life very soon,it has more compression and a more radical cam in it than my motor,it's going to be real nasty.
