Oh hell yes!!! :D That would solve my tire problems for sure!! But this thing has gone on long enough. Caravaggio is supposed to be working on a set of widened rear 1/4 panels though. :D
NoMercy, let me know how the 1/4 panels turn out as I might want to slap some on mine!
Specter Werkes does some nice body work if you don't mind their prices and 'I'm God's gift to the World' attitude. Probably the best aftermarket kits out there. Nice to see different options.
I love the wide-body look! I wish someone here in the USA would make something similar. The ZR1 widebody was the best thing that ever happened to C4 styling, and I'd like to see something like that for the C5.
The Spectre is nice (I have a picture of one as my desktop background!), but not enough visual difference and width to justify the stratospheric price, in my opinion.
Thanks guys for the positive comments about the GTR. Being a hand built car I don't think any one realizes how many man hours go into each car. That is why we have to charge what we do. We realize it is a expensive conversion for the Corvette consumer but we have many two car customers and some very well known owners also. That is why we created the Group 5 components for stock C5s.
Also alot of people don't know the heritage of the GTR. The bodywork was done so Chevrolet had a starting point for the C5R. We than turned it into a street car program and also Raced it at Daytona and Watkins Glen in 1999-2000. http://www.spectergtr.com
