Hi all, My name is Dave and I am a Horsepower addict.......
I am mostly into modified snowmobiles and my dedicated Home Theater.
Now that I have a Vette I am into that. I expect to get a lot of great information from you guys who have been here a while and I appreciate that. Any advice on the first things I should do to my car would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Welcome Dave,

On modding your car, do lots of research first. Take your time. Ask lots of questions, and you'll have a monster on your hands. Eric

Be sure to do and exhaust mod soon! The stock exhaust just sounds too wimpy!

Welcome Dave.

I guess sooner or later you'll find something to put in your sig. The Corvette Forum is unlike any forum that I've been a part of and I'm a member of about 10 different ones. Pretty good bunch of guys/gals on this forum. You'll discover that Vette owners are a very tight knit family. And like a family at times we argue like brothers and sisters but we all pretty much love the vette, regardless of year, and what it stands for. With that said, a word caution: I admire your GOAL but the name "Hennesey" can be a sensitive issue on this forum.

Once Again, WELCOME and have fun!

Hey David,

I am pleased to hereby transmit some heartful greatings, provenance Switzerland, Destination UTAH (I hope I am correct with this, if not, please correct me)  welcome to this amazing Forum!

As for your intentions to modify your new ride, congratulations, I would suggest: take your time to evaluate deeply, compare opinions, listen to the MUSIC as well as the BACKSTAGE-MUSIC in this Forum. There are so many helpful people here around. I once also was very glad, whilst driving trough my learning curve, to gain all the knowhow from experienced fellow CORVETTE-drivers. A real win-win situation, go profit!

Further, you may decide to first cure the some severe asthma-like breething of your engine. Evaluate, if possible, a cold air intake system, remove the MAFS screen (if you still have one in), exchange the airbridge and the accordeon air coupler to the throttle body. Go for an appropriate catback exhaust-system, if possible including an X-Pipe.

BUT if you really are interested in seriously techrelated enhancements, give this allmighty engine, LS1 resp. LS6 FIRST: the main important tuning step in my view: exchange his stock heartblood, the engine oil. I would sincerely recommend the products from US/RED LINE. I am not in commercial relationsship with them, but I am definetely convinced about their outstanding and superior product quality. You may buy all their fillings (engine, gear, transmission, water-wetter, PWR steering fluid), it is worth every penny, believe me!

I wish you personally thousands of non-annoying pleasureful miles with your C5, and, stay safe all the times. Last but not least: SAFE THE WAVE.

Joe.
