Default Grinding/Shaking Noise

If someone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

I originally had a grinding noise in my 2002 6 speed Corvette(non Z06).
I recently replaced the clutch, master, and slave cylinder to solve the problem.

After replacing the parts the grinding is less frequent, but the car still grinds occasionally, wants to pop out of gear repeatedly, "shutters" at around 2300rpm in any gear, and is hard to shift in general.

Do I need a transmission rebuild, new transmission? What is causing this problem? I would like to have a general idea before I walk into the dealer with my wallet open looking for problems.

I need to fix this problem soon as I want to sell this car.

Thanks for all the help in advance.

Frank

First of all, I would recommend you find a Corvette specialist outside the stealerships. Second, you may want to try changing the fluid in the tranny before you start unloading wads of money splitting the case. Is the problem speed reliant? If so, it could be a multitude of things. Torque tube bushings, tranny or rear drivetrain components. It would help anyone to diagnose your problem if they/we had more circumstances and details of the problem. Does the problem happen at any speed and does it get better or worse with higher speeds? When it is at its worst, what happens when you just push in the clutch and coast at that speed? What about pushing in the clutch, putting it in neutral and coasting. Does that change anything? Does it do it at a certain speed? If so, what happens when you gear up or down...is it still there? When is the last time the fluid was changed in the trans. Many have had luck changing to a good synthetic such as Mobil 1 and Royal Purple.

Specifically, do you hear a grinding noise when shifting, or just when driving in any gear? Did you replace the pilot bearing when you did the clutch? Did the car have a vibration previous to the clutch change? Finally, did you inspect the torque tube bushings when you had the driveline out of the car?

The pilot bearing was replaced when clutch was changed. The shaking happened before and after the clutch replacement.

When the car is in great....before or after 2300 rpm it runs great. I can cruise at 70 all day long with no problems.

I bought the car last year with 54K and it now has 64K. I have not changed the fluid and do not know the last time it was switched.

As for the mechanical questions when the car was out, I had it done at a buddies shop so I'm not too sure. He said everything looked good. Previous clutch was wet from a bad master. Replace master, slave cylinder, and clutch assembly(includin pilot bearing).

I just moved to FL so I am unaware of corvette specialists in the area. I will have to do some research on that. Are there any places you guys would recommend to get the tranny fluid changed?

Also most of the time when I am in first and go to shift into 2nd the car wants to go to 4th. If I punch the car in any gear and try and shift quick car doesnt want to shift. I almost have to get off the gas, foot off the clutch, back on the clutch and then in gear.

Thanks again.
