MGW shift ****
I recently received a prototype of MGW Precision's shift **** for the Vette, and I was totally impressed! This is one nice piece! George, the VP of the company told me before I received it, that it was a little rough! Well this thing looks great! I can't wait to see the finished product. It is made of billet aluminum and there are 2 strips of leather. They are going to offer 3 styles, satin anodized, grey anodized(matches Z's wheels) and triple chrome. The leather will be 3/4 of an inch each. On prototype they are about 1/2 inch. There is also a set screw to lock it in place on the shifter. I have been using it for a few weeks on a Ripper and it has a very nice feel in your hand and shifts feel very positive, it looks great(better than a plastic Hardbar) and it's going to be priced realistically compared to the competition. I checked out the web site....nice stuff!!! Hopefully, they will get into some of the parts that they currently offer for the Viper and Mustang, for the C5. I'll be watching. Here's a picture of the Viper ****.....I like it!! ;)

I looked into this after grs06's post. George from MGW responded promptly and gave me a link to a picture - http://www.mgwltd.com/z06knob1.jpg and http://www.mgwltd.com/z06knob2.jpg. Unfortunately, it was the picture of the **** for the Viper that GMan posted that caught my eye. That with the C5 6 speed shift pattern is what I've been searching for in a shift ****. BTW, George has some sample of the ***** that grs06 is talking about available if anyone's interested.
