A pro or someone whos been there & done that. I have a 9300 mi '02 Z06 seemed fast for a while stock - started adding parts - seemed faster for a while - you know how it is. Started w/bone stock LS6, added Halltec Venom, LG long tubes (Borla), Borla 3" X pipes into Borla Stinger cat backs. 160 degree thermo, cam pkg (intake 595 lift, 228 dur, exh. 605 lift & 232 dur) & a 25% underdrive. It dyno tuned @ 425.2 HP & 391.6 TQ. Thought it might have done a little better. At this point I could have the heads shaved 10 thousandth, CC them, 5 angle valve job, polish & port match heads & intake but that ain't going to gain much more HP for the $s it will cost - just my thoughts & experience of hot rodding 40 years ago. I am seriously thinking of adding a supercharger - Vortech has a good reputation and no body mods would be needed. Seems like I could gain more horses for $s spent doing that but finally - that's my question. Really don't want to go the turbo route because of the extra heat. Also with the mods already made I can't find any knowledgeable answers on what the Vortech might add in HP & TQ - anyone done that or have a fairly accurate guess?
I don't race - I'm 66 yrs young - used to do a lot of this on 283, 327 & 369 Bowties I owned years ago. I do almost all the work myself - keeps me out of the pool hall. Any info any member has will be appreciated. Like we used to say - the only substitute for cubic inches is rectangular dollars.

Reason: spelling
If you are set on a supercharger, we also carry Vortech. They claim +133 flywheel hp & +83 flywheel tq. Feel free to give me a call and I'll be happy to help you out.
A&A is the only Vortech kit worth looking at. Don't just get a standard off the shelf Vortech kit whatever you do. Andy, the owner of A&A has worked out all of the flaws in the system. It is awesome and his customer service is second to none. There are plenty of guys out there making 500-600rwhp on pump gas, reliably. Mine is reliable, but I put a whole new shortblock in to make it happen. I made the numbers in my sig on pump gas and meth injection. Check out the F/I section. That's where we talk about this stuff. Feel free to PM me if you have any Q's. Andy's # if you would like to call him is 1-888-838-8377. Tell him Bret from the Corvetteforum sent you.
I know you've been around for a while, but just in case you need reminding, whatever you decide to do, it won't make the kind of numbers on the dyno or the track that we do (we being me and 4DRush ) unless you build the shortblock and you won't make the kind of #'s 4drush made on the track without a "drag pack" and an automatic transmission. I suggest you call ECS, and call A&A, talk with them and go with the price and company you're most comfortable with. If you go with one of those 2 companies and install and tune it properly you won't be sorry unless you don't have enough money left over for tires and a radar detector.
Hang on; let me get my fire retardant suit ready ........
From what the OP stated he is looking for a performance gain in the SOTP area, not necessarily racing or HP numbers. I would strongly recommend that you consider going to something like a 3:90 rear end.
No increase in real HP but a HUGE kick in the a$$ for the bucks. You could have someone else do the work, and all in you are less than the cost of the FI parts alone. If, as you stated, you are like me and do all of yourown wrenching, you are looking at <$2K.
No worry about fuel system, or overheating. Perhaps a slight decrease in fuel economy, but a more useable 5th & 6th gear.
Thanks for the responses so far - you all have a point. No I'll probably not put it on the 1/4 mile (maybe) but just having fun trying to squeze more performance out of the SB for the least expenditure. Stop lights are also a big invitation to use the loud pedal.
