ok...i cant figure out why this dang headlight wont work. the driverside headlight will not go up or down. tested the motor. works fine. nothings jaming the arm since i manually move it up at night and it comes up with no additional amount of resistance.
checked the fuses. working fine, not blown out.
so after that i figured i had a bad headlight module. got a new one. same problem so its not a bad module.
checked and cleaned the grounds on the frame rails right behind the headlights. clean and secured.
the only thing i can think is that one of the wires is pinched or cut.
Have you check the drive gear on the motor to see if the teeth are stripped? does the motor run if disconnected from the headlight assembly if not is there power to the motor ?

Im totally lost. dont know what the heck to do.
anyone have any ideas or how to fix!?
I would not change any more parts until you have gone through the wiring diagram and isolated the issue.
ok. it has to be the wire. it has to be pinched somewhere between the headlight module and the driver side headlight connection. i used a volt meter to test the current. theres current coming from the module but not making it to the driver side. my conclusion is a pinched wire.
its not the motor or the gears. hooked it up and the motor runs. its a signal issue.
Not sure if this is related to your problem, but in rebuilding the front of my 01 Z06 I chased headlight problems for days, the headlights would open, but not close..........after many hours of pulling my hair out, i decided to check to see if the lights themselves would work......in replacing the bulbs, I discovered that a blown bulb will allow the lights to open, but they will not close until the blown bulb is replaced.....scared the crap out of me when they suddenly closed......but still a happy moment, lol.
