tire pressure sensor does not appear to be working
On my display, the tire pressure for the left rear tire constantly reads 35 psi. While all of the other tires' pressure changes, this one doesn't... Any thoughts? I just got new tires and the tire shop said that the sensor looks fine & umdamaged... could it be the computer or sensor?
Once, when I got new tires, one of my sensors stopped working for a while until I ran over railroad tracks. This breaks loose the movement "switch" which causes them to start registering.
I would find some rough railroad tracks and drive over a few times.
GOOD LUCK !

Let some air out, see if the reading changes......
Try placing a STRONG magnet next to the valve stem before you do anything serious. I have had this action revive the senser several times. It may, and I hope that it solves your dilema. Good luck !
I lost one on my '99 years ago. The centrifugal swtich got stuck therefore it wouldn't turn on any more. There is a place that will rebuild them although I think the most they do is replace the battery and their website is full of spyware so I won't post it here. Best is to just buy a new sensor and re-program things to accept it, if your sensor has died.
I have a 2001 Coupe... Los Angeles has plenty of bad roads to drive over and I go over a set of tracks almost five days a week so that's been done... =)
So I'm now going to find a magnet and let some air loose... will report back...
One of my tire pressure sensors read a constant value for three weeks. The day I was driving to the tire place to get it replaced, it completely died displaying XXX. I am afraid that yours needs to be replaced also.
Could be the battery getting weak... life is on average 7 years
One of mine died last fall when the temp dropped (battery voltage is a function of temperature)
I put in a new set this summer when I changed the tires.
best place to buy them is www.gmpartshouse.com
Gene Culley takes care of us.
Ok, tried the air pressure change. Pressure changed in the three other tires but no change in the left rear tire. Next step is to try the magnet. Battery should be fine as its relatively new...
I'm having a similar problem, all tires are fine except right rear reading low.....added more air...checked with 3 different kinds of gauges (their readings were fine) but light keeps coming on and saying it is still low, today it said it was even lower! going to the dealer Friday
