C5 Automatic. Broken Shifter Cable
Past weekend i needed to modify a part of the dash and i had to remove the shifter (C5 1999 automatic)... seemed to be easy but i take out too much this part and i broke a plastic part of the shifter cable

I´ve read in this forum that i´ve not been the only "lucky technician" making this process, so i assum my skill... but, normally i used to buy all the spare parts from USA sellers (ecklers, midamerica, KMJ, Oregon Performance...), and despite of i´m searching everywhere, this "shifter cable" seems not to be available... only OEM part from GM.
Here in Spain is difficult for me to find these parts, and the price in the dealer lots of times is huge (in comparison with it worths..).
Could you tell me if is possible to find this shifter cable???
Do i have to ask for it in my dealer?? (feel mugged...)
Thanks a lot!

I´ll contact whith him ASAP!!!
I´ve tried to mend it temporarily by introducing a "handmade" spring to keep the cable stretched, but it´s impossible... i have only caused that the shifter doesn´t contact very well with the "parking switch" and i have to force it to start up my Vette...

So.. i prefer to wait for the new cable... moreover, i have the new torque converter from BossHog waiting for installing, and as the matter of fact i have to lift up the car and rummage about the bottom... i´ll take the most to do everything.
Thanks again!
