Under Drive Pulleys...What do they do???
thanks,
:smash: :smash: :smash: :smash:
- The Pulley goes in place of the crank pulley, with the original one bolting on top of the newley replaced pulley
-basically it takes the drag off the motor from the accessories (i.e. powersteering pump, alternator, water pump all rob power, so this eleimanates how much power goes there by slowing them down)
-Now I had done a couple of these for people with Mustangs, Camaros, and (1) Vette, I dont like them at all... Your voltage never reads high enough (especially when your running stereo equipment - Nitrous Bottle Warmer, ect...), its not that much of a horsepower difference... its not the easiest mod to install... most people dont like to do them or dont have the tools for doing it.
I would rather take my couple hundred bucks elsewhere.
Hope this helps
Just my .02

A/C strong, P/S no issues, The output of the alternator can be measured on the digital gauges and is no different that with the stock pulley (14.5)
mine gave me back 8-10 rwhp. (the stock pulley actually drags down HP and therfore installing the after market pulley gives the hp back and it's in the entire rpm band, not just at high rpm's)
