Most likely the protective styrofoam will need to be replaced.
After that there is a hollow flat bar that the foam attaches to. Harder impacts will deform that bar, and will require is to be cut off and a new one welded on.
After that, and what you want to most importantly look at is the tubbing in the rear. It quite often will crack from a hard impact. Since this material is high pressure molded. You may want to look at replacement of that, since it can never really be repaired 100% like factory. Youd probably never know if they repaired it since carpet covers it up. Depends on what you want there.
Just know that the rubber fascia hides a lot of damage.
There is no "foam blanket" under there.
here is a pic of the items under the fascia (not mine):

Here is a pic of the cross bar that easily compresses with a large impact

Here is a pic of mine of what is needed to replaced to rear tub on a vert. Im sure similar on a coupe.

Been wondering how you made out with the squeaks....
Think Kewlbrz answered the question you posed. And I agree with his post.

I took my car to Bill Bucks in Venice to have my passenger side door replaced after someone (don't know who) practically tore it off...My car is magnetic red and they are having a terrible, terrible time matching and blending the color..Where do u plan on going to have the work done?..Sunset is okay, I just don't like the appraiser named Steve..Not the friendliest of people...
