Default skip shift = check engine?

Hi, My 03 6 speed had the cags eliminator wire installed about 2years and 9000 miles ago. Last month the check engine light came on, Already refilled fuel tank and checked the fuel cap. "The chevy dealer said my check engine light indicates skip shift code. SO my thought is to replace the cags wire again. Has any one had this problem and is it possibly the elininator wire? Thanks Dean

Thanks for the tip. I cleared the check eng light via a tip from the forum and so far it has not come back. If It does cause the fault again , What source and model of resistor? Thanks Dean
