I'm getting ready to install this and have read that you need to get ths car at least 4 feet off the ground to get the connecting pipe over the suspension. I can only get my car about 3 feet high. Is this enough? Does anyone have any experience with installing the system with this low of a clearance?
Re: Corsa Exhaust System Installation Question? (mnasrallah)
It all depends on whether you want to cut the original exhaust or not. If you don't mind cutting the exhaust at about 1" from where the over axle pipe mates to the muffler, you can easilly do this with only 3' of height, probably much less. I believe you can get them out in one piece with 3', but it'll be tricky. I do seem to remember some folks doing this in this much height.
Re: Corsa Exhaust System Installation Question? (mnasrallah)
I swapped my stock coupe mufflers with Z06s. So I had one piece going back in too. I measured it, and it was exactly 36" to the bottom of the mufflers. ( I had tried once before at lower at a lower height to no avail.) I also had the front about 12" up, on jack stands. It was pretty easy to get the mufflers in and out, but I don't think the car could have been any lower. I still had to pull a little bit to get them out.
ONe more thing, you do have to remove the sway bar bolts on the rear cross member to allow it to hang down.

jayleone,
You are a much braver man than me. That picture scares me.
I found a loal performance shop put mine in for 65 bucks. Well worth the money.l When they put it in they had to do quite a bit of wiggling to get the old one off, also when they put the x-pipe on they had more leverage pushing it in.
