just installed LG streets headers, and loving it. i used the rear sensors and moved them to headers and connect them to the front sensor connection as instructed. now my "check engine light is on". if i buy new sensors for the rears and connect them to the rear connection, would this stop my "check engine light to go on? are there any other options? thanks for any help.
I installed LG streets on my 2000. I tried running all 4 O2 sensors with moving two rears to the fronts and new rears installed in back. It worked fine, but I would occassionally get a code (insufficient switching). When I had the car tuned, I had the tuner delete the rear O2s. Their only purpose is to monitor cat perofrmance. If you hook up all 4, make sure you get the rears connected to the correct terminals. They cross over (driver's side pipe to passenger connector). Best option is to get rear O2s tuned out, to avoid codes.

Same here. You need to tune out certain codes on the rear 02 sensors. If you have tuning software I can tell you which ones. This is why most get a tune after the headers. Might as well get some extra horsepower for the money...
what will be the best handheld tuner to delete the rear 02 sensors? i dont know any tuner shops in hawaii. im going to run 02 sims and see how it works out. thanks to everybodys help
As you've read by now, you don't need the rear O2's for inspections. Even when hooked up like stock with all four, you can still get codes because the header system moves the sensors further away from the engine and they are reading a reduced temp. If you don't have any tuners in your area, some of the hand-helds can tune out the rears. I'm pretty sure the Diablo can, plus there are some others. If you go on line to the magazine GM High Tech Performance, several months ago they had an article comparing all available hand held tuners presently on the market and it mentioned which ones could tune out the rear O2's. As far as the simulators are concerned, they sometimes show up on online auctioning. However, since the fed gov't. declared them illegal they have kind of disappeared.
LG Streets with hi-flow cats, stock front sensors (with extended wires) in headers and rear sensors in original position behind the cats, no codes or other problems so far.....
The best idea is to get your tuned to get rid of the rear sensors because at the same time the tuner will also be adjusting your engine to take full advantage of the headers, which will boost your hp even more and probably increase your gas mileage, too.

Don't know much about them, but they are a recommended installer by APS for their twin turbo kits so they probably aren't totally incompetent. I maybe having a clutch installed when I get back to the island this summer. You might want to stop by and check them out.
