I'm looking to add a few more things to my 2000 vert. Already have, Halltech Tric and Cobra ( through the shroud set up), GMS maf, B@B shorty headers, Bassani x-pipe, Corsa Indy's. What would you think if I added BBK throttle body and a LS6 intake? Do you think it would be worth the money spent? Say maybe 15-18 hp net gain? (rw). I don't want to go into the motor yet (warrenty) and don't have the scratch for Pro-charger set up,so this is the last of the bolt on options. Opinions please.
IMO you'll pick up around 5-10 HP, the LS6 will not add much to stock heads, same with the shorty headers, the others may add 1-2 HP.
If you don't want to go inside the engine, look into changing your rear gears, you will get big kick from this, no additional HP, but it will fell like you added some. If you have an auto go to 3:42's, if an MN6 go to 3:73's or 3:90's.
