Default Transgo kit install around Bay Area,CA
Is there a shop around the Bay Area that will install my Transgo kit for a 1999 Coupe?

I had mine done at Macy (name may not be quite right, but similar, maybe Marcy?) in Oakland. It is on Broadway at auto row, bright oragne sign on a brown brick front. They are very knowledgable. I would think any good transmission shop could do it.

Try Valaya Automotive in San Jose. Their number is 408-448-8811. Talk with the shop owner--TED MAY. He knows his stuff with C5s but he is also good with Vipers and Porsches. He won't rob your pocket book and his bays are clean.

Many of the Forum guys around the Bay Area have used Northstar in Mt. View with good results. See you at the San Jose cruise on Feb. 9.

I talked to Dave at Northstar. He doesn't do shift kit. Dave is great. He installed my torque converter.

Install only 2 washers.If you install 3 like I did,it will snap your head off.Its too much!! Talk to the installer and ask what he recommends.It is definitely worth the money.My car's much more fun to drive.The car will feel like you added 15 horses to the rear wheels. :chevy :chevy :flag :chevy :chevy (STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER)

I paid $375 includes parts and labor.3 hrs. to install.That's here in L.A.. Don't know the prices up north.Oh,the installer doesn't have to remove the transmission. :chevy :chevy :flag :chevy :chevy (STTARS AND STRIPES FOREVER)

I think it cost me almost $500. That's was parts (including Amsoild fluid) and labor

That is very pricey. It costs as much as my torque converter.
