Default ET Streets

What air pressure and warmup are you guys using on 26x11.5x16 MT ET Streets? Are you running tubes or tubeless?? Do you have any problems with running radials in the front???

18 PSI and 5-6 seconds dry burnout works best for me.

I had to learn that that I have to burn them on the very first burnout after mounting them. They once have to be burnt to liquid. Then some seconds are enough for the next burnouts. Always get them smokeing!!

Sometimes I run rdials in the front, no problems, yet.
But it works best with skinnies and they bring you a tenths also:D
I run my MT´s tubeless.

Thanks for the info Mike, I have just received my drag set up from CCW.
I am putting them on now, the front skinnies will arrive in another day or so. Hey, did your rear wheels fit without any sanding, John says that I may need to sand off a couple of areas just slightly........whats up with that?...

Had to grind the upper control arem at the ball joint a liitle bit, that´s all!!

BE prepared to nck snapping launches.

Don´t forget to burn them to hell when you do your first burnout.
I forgot that and didn´t get them to hook up.
Did it and sice then 5-6 seconds of burnout are enough.

I run with tubes in mine.Have run with both radials and non radials in the front. Have not had a problem with 18-20psi in the tires. Some people run lower psi but I would not. They will hook.

When fsanding I sprayed black paint on the upper ball joint and reinstalled the wheel. It will rub the paint off and you will be able to see were you need to grind. You will need to due this several times untill no paint come off. And when you think you are done and bolt the wheel up and drive 5ft it will run again. Use more paint and this time you will have it done.

Bill :)

Michael:

Dou you mean that you have to burn the hell out of them the very first time you mount the tires and put them on your car so as an intial break in thing that should be done. Or do you mean every time you go to the track make sure your first burn out of the day cooks the sheet out of them?

Please shed some light on this. Does anything special have to be done the very first time you mount them and put them on the car regardless if you go to the drags immediately or not.

thanks, Nitrovette

I don't know about Mike, but I plan on heat cycling mine, burning them, heating them, then leaving them sit for a couple days..... :D
As for racing, I will play it by ear, first just cleaning them off, not smoking them much, and see if I can hook that way, if not, I will start back at the water trough again, and light em up....

Nitro, yes burn them to hell the very first time as an break in.
You will see the tire (trade) looks different after that :D
It´s sticky after that, even when cold.
This done, the tire will only need 3-6 seconds of burnout to stick perfect on the track.

On my breakin burnout the smoke came in the car from everywhere and the rear of the car was messed with rubber from the tire (about 12 second burnout). Rubber goes off easy from the car but never again from the exhaust (it´s still there). But since then they hook up great. So great that I could beat a head/cam/150NOS car with MT slicks (I have no heads/cam in yet, so had about 100rwhp less) with two car length (was on one of the videos that I posted).
Well I think I´m not a bad driver also :D

Michael
