Valvoline syn oil 4718M
The best part is it was only 19.00 for a 5qt jug, guess Mobil screwed around to long getting back in production.
I did notice at the time that Pennzoil full synthetic 5w-30 stated that it meets the GM4718 spec. Bought the Valvoline as it was on sale – and a lot cheaper at the time – and was not for the C5 at the time.
P.S. Good to know - Thanks for posting

They also have a coupon on their website for $10 off on 5 quarts.
So far, I don't think 10W30 officially meets the GM spec., only 5W30.
There have been several posts where other forum members have already received their rebate.
Mobil also has a $10 rebate that is good after March 2009. Probably trying to keep Valvoline from taking too much of their business while there is a shortage of Mobil 1.

"The SynPower Full Synthetic SAE 5w30 was recently as of 12/1/08 approved to meet the performance requirements for the GM4718M specifications. The newly updated products will list the specification on the bottle. If the bottles at your local auto parts outlet do not have the specification on the bottle, that is the old stock, as we are currently in the progress of getting the new formulation moved in to replace the existing stock."
