The hose that holds the PCV valve on my LS1 is cracked from heat. Is there any way to repair this and is the ground wire really needed. Thanks
Not being able to see what specific part you are talking about, hard to say. I suppose you could try to section in a piece of hose, but I would replace the damaged part. There is no ground on the pcv valve. The clip and wire that screws to the block is for heat transfer, not for an electrical ground.
I had the same problem. If you are talking about the rubber part that houses the PCV, you'll need to purchase the whole PCV hose assembly. I lucked out to get a new one on (that auction site) for $60. A dealer will charge $105.
