rearend differential help?

Default rearend differential help?

I had a dte stage 4 in the car, no dte brace, which im sure I should have had, and will when it goes back together, the gearset came apart on a 1-2 shift and I think with everything in a bind it caused the case to come apart. I have a set of dte's new shot peened hardened gears, supposedly better than the ones I was sold a year ago. I am currently looking for a case, thats my question is there a strength difference between a c5 z06 case and a coupe rearend casing?

I went with the 3-rib case...not sure what year it started. Here's a side by side with my original 99 diff and my new diff from RPM.

02-up 3-rib differential cases are all the same. Those are the best cases to use for a bolt in application for a C5 without modification.

thanks for the help fellas, found a zo6 case and had rebuilt with the dte guts and new ring and pinion, hopefully have her back together this weekend.
