Power steering rack question??
I have a power steering rack that is missing the little black plug. It looks to be a place where you put some kind of oil in the rack. It is located closer to the drivers side rather than in the center of the rack. It is a threaded corkscrew like plug. I took one out of an old rack and put in it. What is this for? I assume I have to have it? TIA!

I circled the area of concern in the pics above. The rack I got didn't have one, but did at one time. Another rack I had laying around had one and I took it out to put in this one. The one I had on my Z06 originally had one, but when it was involved in an accident, it bent the tie rod and pushed the inside of the rack towards the drivers side and it broke the plug out of it. Looks like a drain plug??? I'm just wondering why it was taken out of this rack I got.
