Default LG Streets, Pros, or Smooth-Flow

I am torn between these systems of long tube headers. Which would you choose for your car? I have Borla Stingers and love the deep rich sound, so sound quality is important to me.

Secondly I plan on getting a dyno tune done at New Era, if I choose to go cat-less is it as easy as disabling the post H02s data/DTCs?

Thanks guys

AFAIK, the only difference between the LG Pros, and Streets, is the merge collector. If they're alot cheaper, I'd get the streets. They didn't make them back when I got my set.

It depends on what you want. If you plan on forced induction or a H/C package down the line, I would do LG PROs but if you are just going to lightly mod it " CAI, exhaust and tune" and call it done then I would just save the money and get the LG streets.

I have the LT Pros w/ Borla stingers and the sound is amazing! The sound is very well mannered while cruising but when I step on its LOUD!

LG often runs specials on the price of the streets. If you are aren't planning any other major mods, the streets would be the way to go. Along with a good tune they will give you a hp increase you will feel in the butt dyno. If you don't already have a cold air intake, this would be a good time to also install one. Along with the exhaust system and tune, you will really wake up your motor. Plus, you'll probably increase your gas mileage, too.

I have the Vortex and Borla Stingers. When disabling the post H02s, will this effect New York Inspections?

I think the Streets are also smaller pipes back to the axle. I know the LG pro system is a full 3 inch all the way to the axle, and the streets should be 2.5 inch x-pipe and others after the headers.

When I bought mine the pros were the only option from LG. If you are planning more upgrades later I would put the money down for the Pros now.

Famous last words!

Good luck with your choice, it will sound great regardless of which headers you choose.

The setup pictured there is running RT Hi-flow cats. No cat systems are straight 2.5" tubes.

I'm running that setup with Z06 exhaust and am quite happy with it. That and a tune netted 34 rwhp/33 rwtq on my 180,000 mile stock LS-1.

HTH, and have a good one,
Mike

Go here http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-p...nly-price.html to see our new option if you are price conscientious. One of our distributors just put them on a C5 with a mild cam install and got 80 rwhp. I am waiting on dyno sheets. If you notice- Our X-pipe is not the restrictive generic stamped style.
Thanks Chris

Our headers with the RT cats and 2.75" X is $1683 MSRP though many of our distributors sell for much less.

How well would these work on a Supercharged setup. I was under the impression that I would need a 1 7/8 header.
