Default Popping noise from left front

I have a 99 Coupe and tonight I was pulling out of the drive and had to make a sharp left hand turn (full lock to the left). I noticed a popping noise that seemed to be coming from the left front. Any ideas what that may be?

Thanks,
Mike

Put a wrench on the sway bar to tie rod nuts and insure they are tight. Other than those, do the same thing with every nut and bolt you can find.

Might be a wheel bearing.

Check the end link on your anti-sway bar. 97 to 01 models came with the hard rubber end links and that's what it sounds like when they fail. I changed mine out for the upgraded cast alluminum ones.

Mine was making bad popping noises. Turned out to be a slightly loose sway bar end link that would slip under load. But then, I have metal Z06 end links on the front so on yours it could just be the plastic link is worn out.

Mine would make a clunking noise in turns. Eventually got worse to where the clunks occured when hitting bumps in the road and crossing railroad tracks even at low speeds.

The shop tech was checking the shocks by pushing up on the wheels with a lift. He happended to notice what he called 'a wiggle he did not expect' in the front end links. Checked rears and noticed the same result. He replaced the end links in all four corners and volia! no more clunks, clinks or pops. It was $250.00 to replace all four.

Thanks everyone! Looks like I'll go ahead and replace the endlinks first to see if that cures it. And check all the suspension bolts/nuts.

Mine does the same thing I think. The first couple full lock turns after starting the wheels pop and I can feel it through the steering wheel. Its almost like the front tires are slipping. After a while of driving it seems to be ok. I've replaced all the endlinks while metal ones and it still does it.

Starting to think maybe ball joints???
