I used the fuzzydiceracing instructions for my shock install...A tip: I used weedwhipper string instead of the zip ties to compress the schocks. Worked real nice. Did not have to double it up...

It's incredibly straightforward. Take off a wheel and all will be apparent.

Here's a tip I learned from replacing a friend's shocks recently. If the bottom bolt for the rear shock doesn't come out or go in really easily then jack up the a-arm just a little. Then it'll slide right in or out.

It's not hard IF you have the proper tools and equipment.

Front: With my Z51 springs (and likely with a Z06),I had to jack under the A-arm with a block of wood and also jack under the opposite rear tire to compress the front spring enough to install the shocks.

Rear: The bottom shock mounts torque to 162 lb-ft. I had to jack under the A-arm with a block of wood to install. To reattach the tie rods, torque to 15,then turn 160 degrees more, then torque to 33.

I followed the McRat method too, and it was exactly as shown.

It's very doable.

I used zip ties...worked fine.

why would you remove the tie rod ends ?

frankly if you need a how to on simple things like shocks , you may be better off having it done for you

With most rear shocks, you have to undo the tie rod to maneuver the shock in or out.

It is totally unnecessary to remove the tie rods when doing the shocks, but if I remember correctly, that's what the GM service manual suggests...(not sure why)..
