Default Stage II Heads and Headers only?

Has anyone done this ( and just left the stock LS1 cam in there)? I am thinking that for about $3500 (plus gaskets etc.) this would bolt right in (using the LG longtubes for example) as a DIY project and maybe pick up 50+ hp. Then the car should still be just as everyday drivable as stock?

I did CNC heads only on my old 97 C5. It picked up about 3 tenths and 2 mph at the track.

The cam is the big power maker. If you only do one or the other, do the cam IMO :)
I agree. Look at my sig. I've picked up almost 40RWHP with the T1 Cam + Pulley and the cost is much cheaper than heads+headers.

Yep, I picked up 43 rwhp with the B1 Cam, headers and pulley!

I added ported heads (no cam) on the LT1 and hp went from 265 to 345rwhp. It shows that on those cars heads are limiting their performance.

Now with LS1's, the story is a better cam is the way to go.

If only making one mod, I'd do the cam, headers, and LS6 intake.
