I bought some sport seats that I'll be putting in my C3 and need to know how to test them. I want to test all the power functions so I can confirm everything works (I'll be selling the track assemblies when I remove them). These seats appear to be full power.
Driver's seat: There are 4 buttons on the side and the lever for tilt. The harness has a main feed that has 6 terminals and wires are being used in every terminal.
Passenger seat: Also buttons plus tilt lever. But passenger only has 3 of 6 wires used in the main connector terminal.
Can I just connect a car battery to 2 of the terminals to test the functions or is going to be harder than that?
Also, not sure if it matters but they came out of an '02.
I got a little further last night. I put some jumper connectors on all the orange wires and got most of the functions working. I wasn't sure what to do with the black with white stripe wires though.
I was able to make the lumbar pump work but it would deflate after pressing the buttons. Is this mean something is wrong with them or does it have something to do with my crude hot-wiring?
I have no idea if the car had memory, tilt, etc. All I know is they were out of an '02.
