Default Wiper problem

Wipers worked erradically, and blew a couple of fuses. Thought it may have been the motor, so I milked the udders with no change except for the crap I got out of them.
Noticed today that they work fine with the steering wheel up, but when it is tilted down they don't work at all. (all I can get is one wipe on high, then they park in the ready position) Looks like I have a wire that is broken, or loosing connection, and goes to ground part of the time.
Does anyone know which wire to look for, and the area that may be causing this problem?
Thanks abunch

Sounds like you have half the info already. Now you just have to do some investigation in the area where the steering wheel pivots to find the problem area.

Just wondering what wire to look for. I don't have a schematic for the car yet.
Thanks

I had to replace my motor and somehow they became out of sinc. They still park in the correct spot but when the delay is on they are at the upper part of the windshield. Does anybody have a pic of the top of the wiper motor and the arm/cam that sits on the top of it?

My wiper motor was ruined by being submerged in water because of clogged udders. A new motor cured erratic operation problems. Good luck. Kevin.
