There's more than one way to do it, but the device I have is called ipod2car from Peripheral Electronics. There is lots of info about it in the audio section, as suggested above. There should be a sticky at the top of the page. Search for "ipod2car"

I agree with soada101. When stickees get into the hundreds of posts it is just more and more confusing and there is way too much flotsam and jetsam to go through without any sense. Can't we get a simple how to for hooking up an ipod, with and without a 12 disc changer, without a million "no I did this" or "me too's" or whatevers. And nobody need another ,"just do a search" reply. We all know that and it didn't help the first time. If you don't have aything reeally helpful to say than just don't say..... well you know. Thanks for any real insight.

[QUOTE=byronhunter;1568654318]Simple enough, just unplug the rear CD changer, plug this in the place of it. Then you can feed any stereo audio source into the radio.

sent you a PM , but you are on the right track with the PIE GM10 AUX

Radio Shack does not sell that part # anymore. You will need to go to an electronics dealer and get the 4 pole double relay. If you go to the store, take the diagram and someone there can help you out. However, if you can't understand the dang thing, then perhaps the plug and play options are better suited for you. It will cost more $$ but will be less difficult.
Go to Crutchfield.com. Enter your vet specs and they direct you to the right part. Pull out radio and its plug and play with the new adapter/ harness they throw in at no charge.
I ran the wire under radio bezel into console. Works through aux.
I went to a local car electronics place, and they said there are limited choices for the C5 radio. It took 3 different harnesses to get the right plugs, but they hooked into the cd changer plug and the multi plug on the Ipod. I have some control of the Ipod...and it charges too. I believe the harnesses were from Peripheral electronics. Don't have the numbers.. hope this helps
