Supercharger vs. Nitrous Question (Not a Poll)
OK I know if you want big time power to take the guy next to you on the street, you either go with a supercharger or carry around a full bottle of nitrous. Therefore, the supercharger wins.
But, how much power can you strut on the street? On the track, where it counts, why would I pay about 5grand more for the supercharger?? I've had both nitrous and a supercharger in the past and loved them both!
I guess the real question is which system, for track use, will give the best bang for the buck w/o trashing my motor???
Also, is anyone with a nitrous system thinking of switching?

Buy what you can afford.....I like the NOS, I will run a 200 shot and feel good about it. I don't use it all the time, you can't, unless you live in a very rural deserted area that is. When I go to the drags, I use it, when I am on the street, I use it when I am challenged, which hasn't happened yet. It is not my daily ride. I will take the juice now and invest the extras $$ later......maybe buting a H + C. set up with 3.73's. I will beat your supercharger I believe....... what do you think? :D :D :D

Bruce1: I agree that my NX system would be hard to beat with SC. I had a SC on a 95 mustang that was great, but nothing compaired with the kick in the butt feeling of nitrous. I hope someone local gets a SC so we can take it to the track. It'd be a lot of fun! :D :D :D

I agree with both you guys. It takes alot of tunning to get the SC cars to run good. Instant HP with tons of torque.
I was going threw LA one night about 1:00 am when a BMW pulled up and challenged me. It was in the summer so I knew I had good bottle presure. I just hit the opener, armed it and let him have the move. He punched it, I punched it, and at 65mph the A4 droped into second, RPM went to 4500, hit the triger and had 5 car lengths on him before he knew what hit him. I'd like to know how he explained that to his girl friend or wife. :smash:
