Roger I asked a similar question recently. Although I did not get exact numbers, the consensus is that a Vararam is a good deal in terms of performance for the price. My question was more focused on the installation and it seems that it is not that hard, I hope. I plan on doing this come spring.
No change measured or felt with the power duct installation..I figured it was larger that the stock..so it c/n hurt...and teh price was right at the time..
I did feel a change with the addition of teh RAM air system but only at speed on the Hwy > 50mph
Does anyone have a good source for the Vararam Power Duct?
I have the Vararam B2 CAI, smooth coupler, coolant by-pass, 160 thermastat, TPIS 92 mm aluminum billet throttlebody, TPIS L6 modified intake manifold, and TPIS computer program. Anxous to add Power Duct.
I got it for $80 from KY Speed. I put it on with the Vararam and got a dyno tune done today. I found significant improvement. I couldn't tell you if the improvement was from the Vararam or the combination of the Power Duct with the Vararam, but the performance shop that did my dyno today said they got more rwhp than they typically get from just a Vararam install, so I guess the extra $80 was worth it.
