silicone coupler question
I have put together my own cold air kit. I purchased the VR power duct from a forum vendor and I have paired this with a K&N RP-5070 filter (it's the filter than comes with the K&N filterpack), which I got both items shipped to my door for less than 200. My question is the coupler that connects the filter to the duct, when connected to the duct and filter there is about an inch of coupler remaining between the duct and filter. Is it necessary to trim the coupler to reduce the unused space or am I ok to leave the extra length?
