header gasket

If stock manifolds, you'd have to unbolt, or at least loosen the flange connecting it to the midpipe to gain enough flexibility to replace the gasket.
With most LT headers, you will probably find enough flexibility in the system to do what you are asking, that is, if nothing is tying it to the other side header up near the engine. (example - the X-pipe immediately after the collectors on ARH system might not allow it to happen without loosening the collector flange).
I know you're trying to save a trip under the car, but the proper way is to assemble the entire system, leaving all connections loose, tighten the headers to the heads first, then work your way back, tightening the rest of the connections under the car.
By prying a fastened header away from the head, then pushing it back, you have little/no "wiggle room" when trying to re-start the bolts into the head, and you stand a good chance of cross-threading them if they want to go in crooked because of slight misalignment

You'll understand when you find the lower row of head bolts.

thanks for the tips
