Really?

They treated me well, and even went out of their way to ensure I got mine in time for a HPDE. It would be hard to belive that they "screwed a guy" with their rep and the fact that they take pride in their product.

Hey, even Bill Dearborn said we made good stuff! That should be good enough for anyone
I agree with Bill though, I doubt the issue for the OP is coolant temp but rather the temp in the cabin from the tunnel. If they come back and give more info maybe we can help him out.

Put my DeWitts in last fall when I was sc'd and road racing. No issues with radiator or cooling now. Nice peace of mind. Now if I just get those kind of results from my oil cooler. You can try all those suggestions above first, but the custom radiator will be your ace in the hole if nothing works.

I have been totally happy with my Dewitt radiator. When I first saw it I thought that it was a well constructed radiator and almost didnt want to hide it behind the shroud.

I put it in with my H/C setup because my temps were getting very high when I was on the track and it lowered both my oil and coolant temps.

When I switched to the LS7 engine I was worried that my temps would raise again on the track, but the dewitt radiator has continued to work wonders.

Regarding the OP - I would change the stat and the fan settings and see where you are. If you still feel the temps are high then by all means go with a Dewitt.

To the OP, what are the exact temps and when exactly do they occur? Do you still have your bottom three piece air deflectors in place? Without those you will see 20-30 degree higher temps while hiway driving. I'm here in SoCal too and speak from experience. They are necessary items on these bottom feeder cars.

Coolant temp will be affect by driving style. Describe yours. No A/C, 90* ambient temps, 75-85mph in 4th gear in freeway traffic and my temp is about 230-239*. Shift to 5th or 6th and temps drop quite a bit.

I will ask this: how old is the coolant? How old is the thermostat? Maybe it is sticking and doesn't open all the way. Are you certain the system doesn't need to be burped? Trapped air will make matters worse. You are certain the intake tract is all clean? Do both fans come on when using the A/C or when the temp is above 228* at idle?
