Default First Corvette

At the age of 66 I finally got my first Corvette. I've been building Hot Rods and dragsters for years and came to the conclusion I needed some comfort along with the speed. Bought a 2001 black 6 speed convertible with only 18,500 miles and I love it. I've had it 2 weeks and today we installed a new B&B Bullet cat back exhaust and Blackwing intake filter. I read that the B&B is the loudest exhaust on the market but I find it mildly pleasant. I guess my hearing has been deminished from years of Rods and dragsters. Joined the local Corvette club and a couple of the members were kind enough to help me with the add ons.

By the way, I really enjoy your forum.

welcome,

post some pics of your new car...

from my experience, some of the exhausts will get a little louder after driven for a while. I had another vehicle with a Borla, and when it was 1st installed it sounded like stock, took a couple of hundred miles of driving to get a little louder...

Congratulations on your new Vette I also have a 6 speed with the Blackwing and B&B Bullets. Don't find the Bullets crazy loud at all. Enjoy the ride

Welcome to the best C5 Forum ! I got my first Vette when I was 18 years old (a 1964 VERT) and "came back" when I was 52 years old (1998 Coupe).

Great Cars, great people, great times.
